Kogan has joined the rush to offer data-hungry mobile users new deals with significantly increased data allowances.
Not to be left behind competitors, the online discount retailer on Monday released a data boost to some of its "already great value pre-paid options", with large and extra large plans providing from 5GB to 8GB and 11GB to 12GB data respectively, at no extra cost.
For the same price of $36.90 per 30 days, Kogan mobile customers now have 8GB of data and unlimited standard national calls and texts on the new plans. It is even cheaper per GB for those who pre-pay for 90 or 365 days.

{loadposition peter}Company founder and chief executive Ruslan Kogan says recent research shows that Australians are “chewing through more mobile data than ever before”, video streaming growing at more than 30% a year, and more than 40% of all mobile data now used to watch videos.
“We have great mobile Internet in Australia, and it’s clearly an important service for many people around the country. We’re using more data than ever before, and I think this trend will continue to accelerate,” Kogan says.
“It’s clear that Aussies want more data and we’re committed to giving our customers exactly what they want. By giving our customers more mobile data, they can stay connected with friends and family around the world, stream more content, download more apps and maybe even save some time and money by doing more of their shopping online.
“We rolled this out to existing customers over the weekend, so they’ll start their week with a pleasant surprise. For new customers, our already great prepaid options just got even more attractive.
“We’ll keep working hard to exceed customer expectations and to make great value mobile deals more accessible to all Australians,” Kogan said.
