Peter Hughes, Local Measure

Australian-headquartered social intelligence platform Local Measure has hired former Cisco senior sales executive Peter Hughes as its vice-president, Strategic Alliances.

Hughes worked for Cisco for 16 years, most recently as global director of sales, where he managed a team across APJ, EMEAR and the US to establish new routes and channels to market for Cisco’s cloud software as a service (SaaS) collaboration product Cisco Spark.

Previously, Hughes led Cisco’s APJ collaboration team and prior to that the ANZ collaboration team.

Local Measure chief executive and founder, Jonathan Barouch, said Local Measure’s platform integrations had developed significantly in the last six months, “making this the right time for the company to develop and capitalise on its partnership and channel strategy”.

Hughes said, “The intersection of mobile, social and digital customer experience is now a boardroom discussion and Local Measure is uniquely positioned in its capabilities to help businesses develop customer engagement”.

“I intend to continue to develop the existing alliances that Local Measure has, and to work with Jonathan and the team to create more opportunities at this junction between technology and customer engagement.”
