Online discounter Kogan is making a bid to lure customers who are heavier data users to its services with a big boost in data plans.
In its latest market initiative Kogan has announced a data boost to its pre-paid options, giving users of its services an increase of 2GB of data for 30 days at no extra cost.
The new offers see mobile customers, for the same price of $29.90 for 30 days, now get 5GB (was 3GB) of data and unlimited standard national calls and texts.
And, for heavier data users, Kogan Mobile offers what the discounter says is a huge 10GB (was 8GB) of data and unlimited standard national calls and texts for $36.90 for 30 days.
{loadposition peter}In addition, Kogan says the “already massive” extra large option now offers 14GB (was 12GB) of data and unlimited standard national calls and texts.
To sweeten the offer, all pre-paid options are even cheaper if one takes the 90- or 365-day options.
“Best of all, this isn’t just for new Kogan Mobile customers. All existing customers will have their data allowance upgraded at no extra cost,” says Kogan founder and chief executive Ruslan Kogan.
Touting the new offers as a great day for Australian smartphone users, Kogan said: “Technology keeps getting better. Smarter smartphones, faster networks and better coverage allows people to do more on the go”.
