India-based enterprise software provider Ramco Systems has revealed plans to make its Melbourne office the Oceania headquarters of the company.
Ramco supplies cloud software for functions including human capital management, payroll, ERP, and maintenance, repair and operations.
It has been operating in Australia since 2012 with a focus on payroll and logistics, and this country now accounts for 11% of overall revenue.
The most recent signing was transport and logistics service provider SeaRoad's adoption of Ramco Logistics Suite, including transport management, fleet management, warehouse management, hub management, logistics command centre, customer and vendor contracting, finance and accounting, and human capital management (including payroll).
{loadposition stephen08}At the opening of Ramco's new office in Melbourne, the company revealed it will also serve as its Oceania headquarters.
Vice-chairman and managing director P.R. Venketrama Raja said "The appetite of Australian businesses to adopt disruptive technologies and test new waters has been a key driver behind Ramco's growth in the region. We have been able to win the trust of some of the largest conglomerates and business houses and are thrilled by the progress made."
Ramco intends to work with the Victorian Government, and Minister for Small Business, Innovation and Trade Philip Dalidakis said "Ramco's decision to base their Oceania HQ in Melbourne strengthens Victoria's growing reputation as a leading destination for global business and tech investment. The Andrews Labor Government is bolstering Victoria's push to be the number one tech destination across the Asia Pacific and Ramco's innovation and logistics presence in Melbourne will help us do this."
The company's customers in the region include GMK Logistics (Australia), AAI Philippines, Nationwide Couriers (Malaysia).
