Optus Business has announced its ‘commitment to deliver ongoing innovation for security technology services’ via an expansion of its managed security services portfolio.
Optus Business has expanded its managed security services portfolio to ‘provide Australian enterprises and government agencies with increased detection and prevention capabilities combating cyber attacks.’
In conjunction with Palo Alto Networks and its ‘Next Generation Security Platform’, Optus Business is launching its ‘Managed Advanced Threat Prevention (ATP) services’ which delivers ‘Next-Generation Firewall, Threat Intelligence Cloud and Advanced Endpoint Protection.’
The collaborative effort by Palo Alto Networks, Singtel and Optus will ‘protect organisations by monitoring, isolating and preventing any suspicious applications from breaching an organisation’s networks or endpoint devices and boosts Optus’ global threat intelligence capability and expertise gained from Singtel’s global network of Security Operations Centres (SOCs).’

The companies say this alliance ‘enables organisations to implement key technology initiatives within the cloud and mobile networks, while maintaining complete visibility and control, to protect their most valued data assets and critical control systems.’
Both Optus Business and Palo Alto Networks say they will also ‘team up on the development of future technology security services.’
