Billed as the largest startup and growth conference to help you disrupt the disruptors, StartCon 2017 is bigger and better than ever to help you grow smarter.
Starting this Friday, 1 December at Randwick Racecourse Sydney, and ending on Saturday 2 December, StartCon 2017 is in its 8th year, having sold out 7 years in a row previously, and it promises to be the best StartCon yet!
Naturally, anyone with a new startup or one to come will learn a great deal, but you'll also find the following statement which is also great to see for those wanting to take those already well into the startup process grow to the next level:
"For high-growth startups and marketing teams looking to grow bigger, faster and stronger than ever before. Move past the 'start-up' mentality and develop your empire through growth and marketing."
{loadposition alex08}Clearly, with 3500+ attendees, 60+ speakers, 150+ exhibitors and 500+ startups, it's going to be big, so I spoke to StartCon CEO, Cheryl Mack, to get a preview of the event for us all.
Article continues beneath the video, please read on!
I also had the chance to interview Cheryl during StartCon 2016, as well as Freelancer CEO Matt Barrie and Twilio's Patrick Malatack, which you can see here.
In the interview above, I introduced Cheryl as CEO of StartCon, and welcomed her to the program.
I noted it had been nearly a year since we last spoke and noted I'd have links to that in this article, and then asked Cheryl to preview StartCon 2017 and tell us about some expected highlights.
I asked what the biggest learnings were from StartCon 2016 that were applied to this year's event.
We spoke about last minute ticket availability, including a hidden link that Cheryl talks about in the video above, as well as the $59 Digital Pass,
That allows you stream all the sessions, with the main stage presentations streamed live and available on demand afterwards, along with on demand full recordings of all the other sessions.
This year, this includes access to all the videos from previous StartCons to maximise the Digital Pass value, alongside allowing all the video content to be accessed anytime, and not for a limited time, which reflects the modern nature of video content today.
We spoke about the speakers, the expo show floor, the top 3 things anyone starting up must know to succeed (while acknowledging 3 is too small a number) and more.
I asked about the challenges in securing all the talented people speaking at the event, we spoke about the prize for the pitch competition, how the world of startups will evolve over the next decade, great advice learned over the past year that has improved Cheryl's life, and her final message to readers, viewers and current and future conference-goers.
StartCon 2017 is here, where you can get last minute tickets as well as a Digital Pass here.
It looks like it will be a buzzing conference full of learning, growth and a myriad other opportunities, and I wish StartCon 2017 great success.
I'll be attending on Friday and will have some reports from StartCon 2017, with video, so see you in a future article!
