Courier and door-to-door online delivery service Sendle has launched a free integration with ecommerce platform Shopify in a move it claims will simplify and accelerate delivery for thousands of online retailers around Australia.

With the integration, Shopify customers can opt to start shipping through Sendle’s nationwide door-to-door delivery service, with flat-rate pricing that Sendle claims is typically 40% cheaper than traditional post.

Sendle says the integration will allow Shopify users to connect their stores directly into the Sendle dashboard and start shipping instantly — “saving business owners a trip to the post office and giving them time to focus on what really matters — running their business”.

As part of the integration, all Shopify sales that have been paid for will be synced and imported directly into the customer’s Sendle dashboard, helping store owners streamline delivery through label printing, order booking and management and easy parcel tracking.

This new integration will extend that simplicity even further to help users eliminate pain points and make shipping and delivery seamless. Through our integration with Shopify, we are unlocking the power of big business logistics – convenience and affordability, for small and medium online sellers around the country,” says James Chin Moody, chief executive and co-founder, Sendle.

Moody says Sendle’s collaboration with Shopify is the latest in a series of high-profile ecommerce integrations launched by the courier service over the past 12 months, which include Neto, ShipStation, ReadyToShip and StarShipIT.

And Sendle also integrates with accounting software company Xero, allowing business owners to create and dispatch orders directly from an invoice.

“Our vision is to level the playing field and simplify shipping and delivery for thousands of small business owners around Australia,” Moody said.

“The ongoing development of our open API allows us to easily integrate with key partners, as we work to create an ecommerce ecosystem for more users.”
