Olixar is a UK based designer of audio, gadgets, wearables, power and smartphone/tablet covers. It is the house brand of Mobile Fun in the UK and Mobile Zap online in Australia.
Mobile Zap lists a total of 28 Olixar variations of 14 different cases for the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus alone – it is worth methodically going through the site for whatever brand device you have – there is a lot of cool stuff there at prices often well below recommended retail.
They also stock many brands including genuine Samsung cases, Otterbox and Lifeproof.
The following cases ideally should be used with a glass protector - a new glass costs well over $300 and there is a good chance the OLED screen may be damaged doubling the cost.

Olixar FlexiShield Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus Gel Case - Solid Black A$7.49
At this price, it is a no-brainer if only to give extra grip and protect against scratches. It is almost invisible on a Black S8+. It’s a little heavier than the Ultra-thin and has no drop resistance.
Olixar Ultra-Thin Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus Case - 100% Clear $11.99
This is the classic clear bumper case – ultra-thin, clear and unobtrusive. It is made from a flexible gel that offers a better non-slip grip and scratch protection. I particularly like it as it is one of the thinnest, lightest bumpers I have used and it is hardly noticeable. Add glass protection and that is all you really need although it has no drop resistance.
Olixar ExoShield Tough Snap-on Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus Case - Black or White $14.99
This is more a typical buffer case with black surrounds and a clear back. It offers better corner drop protection using reinforced bonded Thermo polyurethane (TPU) and high-quality polycarbonate material. The slightly raised bezels offer better Edge protection to the screen and the raised rim around the back of the case protects the camera lens.
Olixar ArmourDillo Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus Protective Case – Black $18.99
It is butt ugly but it is very practical, especially the fold out landscape stand. It has an inner TPU wraparound sleeve (like the ExoShield above) and a clip-on hard polycarbonate exoskeleton that provides excellent corner, side, top and bottom drop protection.
This is the case I would choose when roughing it – glamping etc. It is available in red and blue inner sleeve colours.
Olixar X-Duo Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus Case - Carbon Fibre Metallic Grey trim $29.49 (also available with silver or gold trim)
This is a two-layer case – a flexible textured TPU body and a smooth, metallic finish bumper offering good all round protection. It has a faux Carbon Fibre finish that provides great grip and a raised rim around the camera for lens protection. Very elegant and the price reflects the drop resistance of the materials.
Olixar Galaxy S8 Plus Full Cover Glass Screen Protector - Clear $36.49
I did not receive this for review but it is a .33mm thick, 9H tempered glass protector with an oleophobic coating which also makes them resistant to fingerprints – it should do as it promises. 9H Is supposed to resist scratches from anything up to topaz of corundum.
Olixar X-Tome Leather-Style Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus Book Case – Brown $29.49
It looks like a vintage bound book and with classic styling, wallet features and magnetic closure, this is one volume you won't want to miss. Even has an integrated landscape viewing stand and two interior card slots and document pocket. I love it!
