Evaluating the current state of data and analytics in Australia & New Zealand will be one of the key ICT industry matters under the microscope at next week’s Corinium Intelligence Chief Data and Analytics Officer Forum being staged in Melbourne.
The forum, running for three days from next Monday (5 September) to Wednesday, is billed as the most comprehensive event for data development and innovation in Australia, and is expected to attract more than 200 attendees.
More than 60 industry speakers will address a range of topics and involve attendees in three days of high-level insight and discussion over three dedicated tracks.
Best practice in data governance, quality, and integration, understanding data governance innovations and improving data quality, master data management and protection, are some of the key topics to be discussed.

“Big data and fast data are major priorities. The amount of data we produce as a bank is exploding and we need to ensure we’ve got the tools to harness and make use of that data, which is where our big data capability comes in,” Abbruzzese says.
Corinium says the forum is a “unique, dynamic and interactive event that breaks the mould” of the standard conference format.
In place of “endless stock PowerPoint presentations and non-existent Q&A sessions”, the CDAO Forum utilises a mixed session format agenda, “ensuring that one can avoid the tedium so often associated with business conferences and remain engaged throughout the event,” the company says.
