Iconic Nokia has made its comeback with a candy bar, candy coloured feature phone with buttons! Not at all what market watchers expected – but it will sell truckloads.
Nokia – the phone brand – is now licensed to HMD, an independent Finnish company that may have been affected by taking one too many saunas, then running naked in the snow while self-flagellating with birch sticks.
It has announced the Nokia 150 and Nokia 150 Dual SIM at US$26 before local taxes and subsidies
- With a familiar user interface, the new devices respond to consumer demand for great quality, affordability, and ease of use
- 2.4” screen with features like built-in FM radio, MP3 player and games, alongside outstanding battery life make Nokia 150 a great entertainment phone
- Camera with LED flash allows users to capture their special moments and share them with friends and family through Bluetooth
I quote the joyous release, “The new phones – the first Nokia feature phones to be released by HMD – combine beautiful craftsmanship with hallmark Nokia durability. Featuring hard-wearing polycarbonate shells and scratch-resistant colour, the Nokia 150 phones are built to last.”

Still, grannies and grandpas will like the candy bar with buttons – perhaps the next move will be a revolutionary flip phone.
