Find-a-tradie service hipages has appointed Paolo Ragone as its first chief technical officer.
“We’re thrilled to have Paolo join the team and his appointment as CTO represents an enormous evolution of our business," said CEO and co-founder David Vitek.
"In the past the technology has been managed by various members of the team, but it’s exciting to think that we’ve now outgrown this process!”
Ragone's previous roles include head of product and innovation at eBay, and CTO of Gumtree where he completely redesigned the platform, introducing instant messaging and innovative delivery processes.
{loadposition stephen08}He holds degrees in systems enginering and mathematics from Universidad Metropolitana (Venezuela) and an MBA from Instituto de Empresa (Spain).
Other recent appointments at the company include Karl Cope as CFO and Jodette Cleary as chief people officer. Earlier this year Tracy Richardson and Gideon Kline joined the company as CMO and chief commercial officer respectively.
