Twitter Australia and the New South Wales public transport body, Transport for NSW, have teamed up to provide alerts about delays or disruptions on the Sydney suburban and inner-city rail networks.
The alerts will be sent on the @TfNSWAlerts Twitter feed.
The new service will allow commuters to define specific stations and travel times to produce personalised alerts.
These can be based on selected routes, locations and typical travel hours which will help them get to where they need to be more efficiently.
