Contact centre software vendor Genesys has completed its acquisition of customer experience vendor Interactive Intelligence.
The previously announced acquisition sees Genesys now claiming over 10,000 customers in more than 100 countries supporting over 25 billion customer interactions per year.
Genesys chief executive Paul Segre says the company is now able to support customers of “any size in all industries everywhere in the world with the most complete portfolio available in the cloud and on-premise”.

{loadposition peter}With the completion of the transaction, Segre will continue to serve as chief executive and Genesys will maintain its headquarters in Daly City in the US, as well as key offices in Indianapolis, Indiana and Durham, North Carolina.
The acquisition, for about US$1.4 billion, saw Interactive Intelligence shareholders received US$60.50 per share in cash for each share of Interactive Intelligence common stock they held at closing.
With completion of the transaction, Interactive Intelligence ceased to be a publicly traded company and is no longer listed on Nasdaq.
