Global storage virtualisation and objective-defined storage provider ioFABRIC has established its first Asia Pacific office in Sydney to springboard a drive into the APAC market and strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of a new chief architect for the region.
Sal Fernando takes up the position of Chief Architect Asia Pacific. He previously worked for Thomas Duryea Consulting, CommVault, EMC and Veritas.
Greg Wyman, vice president Asia Pacific, ioFABRIC, said: “As leaders in disruptive storage solutions, we need visionaries who are able to articulate our message and assist with proof of concepts, deployments and partner training to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and success.
“I believe every customer is important, and as they deploy our solution successfully, they will rapidly become our ambassadors and help to drive our success. Hence this is a critical appointment and Sal will be foundational in building our technical expertise within the region and globally.”
