Another 21 CSPs join Equinix Cloud Exchange

The range of services available via Equinix Cloud Exchange has increased substantially thanks to the addition of 21 more CSPs.

Equinix Cloud Exchange provides access to multiple cloud service providers (CSPs) from a single platform.

The latest CSPs to offer direct connectivity from Equinix's Sydney and Melbourne data centres are Access4 (UCaaS), ASE (IaaS and managed application hosting), BroadSoft (UCaaS), Bulletproof (IaaS), Cloud365 (IaaS, DRaaS), CloudCentral (IaaS, DRaaS, BaaS), Comscentre (UCaaS), Datacom (IaaS), Fastrack Technology (BaaS, DRaaS), Genisys (IaaS, DRaaS, etc), Gcomm (IaaS, DRaaS, BaaS), Hypernode (IaaS), Interactive (IaaS), Micron21 (DDoS protection), Nexon (UCaaS), OrionVM (IaaS), RackCorp Secure Cloud (IaaS), Servers Australia (IaaS), VMtech (IaaS, BaaS, etc), Zadara Storage (STaaS), and Zettagrid (IaaS)

They join Amazon Web Services, IBM SoftLayer, Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud.

Equinix Australia managing director Jeremy Deutsch said "With over twenty new cloud service providers joining the Equinix Cloud Exchange in Sydney and along with five new providers onboard our Melbourne exchange, more enterprises can benefit from access to the resources and interconnection options needed to confidently meet their business demands."

Bulletproof CEO Anthony Woodward said "Bulletproof has pioneered the design, deployment and support of cloud solutions for major enterprises in Australia and New Zealand. Joining the Equinix Cloud Exchange was a logical extension to enable our multi-cloud service offerings that leverage our own, VMware-based private cloud, along with those offerings that add value to the global hyper-scale providers such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure."

Nexon Asia Pacific Australia managing director Barry Assaf said "While some only associate cloud services with the sub category of IaaS, there are many more cloud services that enterprises are looking to consume in their multi-cloud bundle. Nexon's unified communications as a service, leveraging our strong Skype for Business and cloud-based contact centre capabilities, offers huge potential as a key enabler for advanced enterprises through Equinix Cloud Exchange that empowers true, hybrid multi-cloud."

Equinix opened its fourth Sydney data centre and completed the expansion of its Melbourne data centre three months ago.
