Oracle Australia adds 200 new digital sales jobs

Oracle Australia's forthcoming digital sales hub in Sydney will involve 200 new jobs.

Oracle is aiming to move the midmarket into the cloud, and part of that effort will be the establishment of a digital sales hub in Sydney.

The Oracle Digital team will be equipped with "world class training and resources" to provide pre-sales support to customers.

These resources will include the ability to deliver real-time demonstrations to customers anywhere in the world, a social media monitoring system to track industry and customer trends, and one-click contracts.

{loadposition stephen08}"Cloud is changing the heart of business in Australia, and at an unprecedented pace; we are seeing companies selecting and starting to use their new platforms in less than six weeks in some cases," said Oracle ANZ managing director Rob Willis.

"Marketing can optimise their campaigns on the fly. Finance can get figures in hours when it used to take days or even weeks. HR can accurately analyse future workforce trends, and take pre-emptive steps to keep top talent engaged and productive.

"Success breeds success, so as one part of the business dips their toe in the water and gains the benefit, so the roll out moves on to other areas."

These jobs appear to be in addition to the 150 new cloud sales positions announced by the company in 2015.

Earlier this year iTWire reported that 170 Oracle support positions were moved offshore.
