Mozilla’s new Firefox Focus for iOS is a new, free, fast, and easy to use private browser that will not spy on you or serve up a plethora of unwelcome advertisements.
Mozilla says we live in an age where too many users have lost trust and lack meaningful controls over their digital lives. It appears your web activities can follow you everywhere – across devices, across accounts … for the times when you don’t want to leave a record on your phone.
It is a simple browser - no tabs, no menus, no pop-ups. It is set by default to block many of the trackers, browsing information including cookies, website history or passwords, that follow you around the Web. You don’t need to change privacy or cookie settings.
Because it blocks so much “crap” Mozilla says it is likely you’ll notice a performance boost on the many sites that track your behaviour. If a site won't load because it is dependent on tracking Firefox Focus makes it easy to open the page in Safari. And it won’t tell Siri what you have been up to.

"One of our engineers built an experiment that was a simple browser on top of our Focus by Firefox content blocker," Nick Nguyen, vice president of product at Firefox said. "As we lived with the experiment, we found that having a private and lightweight browser with easy controls could be very handy, so we are delighted to be releasing it to the public."
The Apple App Store does have apps private browsing, including like Ghostery, Dolphin, and Brave. Firefox Focus has the advantage of being a lightweight browser and the mantra “Browse like no one’s watching.”
