Virginia-based defence company Leidos officially launched its Australian business today.
The company merged with Lockheed Martin's Information Systems and Global Solutions business earlier this year.
The merger has created a US$10 billion entity with 33,000 employees who provide integration of complex systems and services.
In Australia, Leidos has about 900 employees mostly in Melbourne and Canberra.

Christine Zeitz, managing director, was quoted in a media release as saying: "We are delighted to officially launch our Australian business.
"We are building on our existing customer base which includes the Department of Defence Centralised Processing programme valued at nearly $1 billion and the Service Management and End User Computing contract with the Australian Taxation Office worth roughly $470 million.
"While we have a strong heritage in the defence business, we are also committed to working in cyber security, big data, airport, and air traffic management systems."
