One must ask is a Toughbook year like a dog year? These devices are made to withstand the rigours of use far after consumer devices give up – perhaps its more akin to a cat’s nine lives.
To mark Toughbook’s twenty years, it has released the world’s first, 20”, 4K, Windows 10, touch tablet that is 12.5mm thin – and they have coined a new Toughbook term – Business-rugged.
The Toughpad 4K Model has a magnesium alloy frame and glass fibre case. It can lay flat on a desk, or use an optional dock or VESA compatible mount.
Stuart Buxton, Senior Product Manager, Toughbook, Panasonic, said: “We’re seeing businesses across various industries demanding higher standards in picture quality at work and home. From the living room to the boardroom, 4K is a defining standard for digital content and the new FZ-Y1 Toughpad device delivers high-impact 4K presentations wherever you need them – from the showroom floor to the broadcast suite.”
