Perhaps the most interesting feature of Windows as a Service is how new features keep being added – for free.
The next release 14965 includes the ability use a touch screen device (PC, Notebook or Hybrid) as a virtual mouse on a connected larger screen. In essence, it turns the tablet into a touchpad. It is part of the work being done on precision touchpad customisation for CAD and drawing devices and has flowed down to Windows 10.
Sticky notes – those irritating stick-on yellow pieces of paper developed by 3M receives a big upgrade best described as being able to take context from your notes. For example, phone numbers will be recognised, as will flight numbers, email, URLs, addresses, and much more. Cortana will be able to use this information called Insights. It also now supports keyboard shortcuts.
Windows Ink has more tools, a handwriting learning function, and some performance updates. Ink is standard as part of the Windows 10 Anniversary Update and should be seen as a pen icon on the right side of the taskbar.

These updates flow to Windows 10 Mobile, Xbox, Surface Hub and more. In a phone sense, the touchpad enhances Continuum, as does homogenising the menus for a consistent experience.
