The NSW Department of Industry has chosen Business Information Services' Expense8 travel and expense management system.
Following a tender process, 8common subsidiary Business Information Services will provide the NSW Department of Industry with the Expense8 SaaS travel and expense management system for three years with the possibility of a further two years.
The deal is worth at least $147,000 a year, with additional transaction-related revenues.

{loadposition stephen08}Other government organisations already using Expense8 include the Federal Department of Finance, the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, the NSW Department of Education, the NSW Police, the whole of the Northern Territory Government, and Transport for NSW.
Expense8 is designed to streamline the accounting, reporting, tax compliance and governance of employee generated expenses and corporate travel bookings.
The company says Expense8 can take into account an organisation's travel rules; calculate travel allowances according to destination, employee type and other parameters; and halve the time needed to reconcile expenses.
