IDC appoints Kikos head of Research Australia

International Data Corporation (IDC) has appointed Annemarie Kikos as research director for Australia. Kikos will govern the overall research agenda to provide actionable support and guidance to IDC’s Australia customer base.

Kikos has more than 20 years of industry experience with both a local and international perspective. Most recently, she held the role of chief of staff at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) APJ, reporting to HPE’s regional chief technology officer. Before that, she managed Strategy & Planning at HPE APJ as she was working closely with enterprise and public sector clients to optimise services portfolios and segment strategies for the region.

“The Australian market is unique as it is leading the region in the maturity of adopting 3rd Platform technologies and Digital Transformation. There is much opportunity for Australian organisations to realise their digital ambitions and we are excited to bring someone of Annemarie’s experience to provide support along this journey. Annemarie’s vast experience and deep industry knowledge will enable IDC to provide relevant and actionable strategic and tactical guidance to our clients, at a time when every company is forced to have a good hard look at their digital enterprise strategy,” said Ullrich Loeffler, managing director IDC Australia & New Zealand.

In her new role, Kikos will oversee and drive the overall research agenda for IDC Australia. She will work very closely with IDC’s vendor and IT Buyer clients to assist them in their transition to the 3rd Platform and new business models.

The industry is at the beginning of an unprecedented transformation, and I am thrilled about the opportunity to contribute to this journey from an analyst perspective,” Kikos said.

She joins a team of more than 40 IDC staff in ANZ and over 450 across the APJ region.
