Honey, I shrank the printer. HP claims its new DeskJet 3700 all in one is half the size of other inkjets in its class.
With measurements of just 425 x 177.8 x 137 mm, we're prepared to take that at face value – the only smaller inkjet devices we can think of are single-function printers.
It provides the usual print, scan and copy capabilities, including support for mobile devices (iOS, Android and Windows) for printing and scanning. HP's Social Media Snapshots app enables the printing of photos from Facebook, Instagram and Flickr, while HP Printbot makes it possible to print content from Facebook Messenger conversations.
One omission is the ability to print borderless photos.

The $79 DeskJet 3700 is unashamedly aimed at the home market and — dare we say — younger users, as the white casing comes with blue, green and (from November) red accents.
"Consumers crave tiny, wireless devices that fit into their lifestyle and enable them to stay connected, social and productive wherever they may be," said HP South Pacific director of printing systems Ben Vivoda.
"HP's new DeskJet turns the traditional consumer printing experience on its head with its innovative, fun design and intuitive mobile connectivity from virtually any device or social network."
For those concerned about the way the 3700 uses a tri-colour cartridge, HP has previously told iTWire that its drivers for two-cartridge printers are designed to monitor the use of cyan, magenta and yellow inks and then make subtle and normally invisible adjustments so that all three colours are exhausted simultaneously.
