IT solutions provider Cirrus Communications has launched C2 Direct to offer its wireless services direct to business, aiming its solution at what it says are dissatisfied NBN customers.
Cirrus claims its solution is designed to address those segments of the business telecommunications market that NBN has failed to meet.
According to Cirrus Communications CEO and co-founder, Dr Eric Heyde, uncertainty around the NBN and dissatisfaction with NBN services had created a huge opportunity for reliable and affordable alternatives.
”NBN certainly meets a need in the market – but it is a very long way from offering a compelling solution to businesses dependent on service availability. Frankly, their services are either residential grade or very expensive.

According to Heyde, C2 Direct provides the reliability and flexibility of Cirrus’ proven microwave network “combined with the support and service of a nimble, business focussed company”.
“Over the past ten years we have concentrated exclusively on delivering wireless connectivity to businesses primarily though channel partners.
“Going forward we plan to continue and expand our partner model – but C2 will also become an important plank in how we address the market.”
Heyde says Cirrus’ partners include some of Australia’s leading telcos. “Our partners choose Cirrus because we offer services where other carriers can't,” Heyde said.
“We have coverage of the ten largest population centres in Australia, and our network is independent from the other major carriers - that means genuine redundancy of services.
“We offer service hand-off in major data centres in each state, and our network has an unprecedented level of flexibility: we can rapidly turn bandwidths up or down, and we can deliver within days, rather than weeks or months.”
