Telstra rural, regional tick of approval for Samsung S9, S9+

Telstra’s Blue Tick certification signifies that a mobile device has been thoroughly tested and delivers superior voice coverage in rural and regional areas, and was established by Telstra 11 years ago to help regional customers choose the phone that would provide them with the best coverage experience.

Devices are tested for receiver sensitivity in a laboratory under controlled conditions and in rural areas on the Telstra Mobile Network.

Kevin Teoh, Telstra’s Head of Mobiles says the certification means the new Samsung smartphones join those handsets that Telstra recommends for use by regional customers to provide them with the best coverage experience.

For this reason Telstra established Blue Tick certification to recommend products which have passed specific testing and which will, as a result, deliver superior voice coverage performance for our customers in regional and rural areas,” Teoh said.
