IT solutions and services firm NEC has opened its Australian 2018 graduate program for the second year running.
The training program gives tomorrow’s CIOs, CISOs, and leaders of technology operations access to leading experts who are helping to shape the future of Australian enterprise technology in government, industry and commerce.
NEC says this year’s program offers graduates direct access to exciting areas of technology spanning facial recognition, artificial intelligence, and mobile technologies that have been deployed to solve large-scale business and community challenges, from Perth's drought-prone water supplies to emergency services in Victoria.
“The program is a fantastic training ground for graduates to grow and learn the NEC way of engaging with the community and using technology to solve not just business challenges, but using it to improve public safety and security in the physical and digital realms," said Sue Roberts, Director of People & Culture at NEC Australia.

Applications for the NEC Graduate Program 2018 are open until Sunday 1 April, 2018, and successful graduates will commence the mid-year intake on 30 July 2018 with opportunities available in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Canberra and Darwin.
NEC says it strongly encourages applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and candidates from culturally diverse backgrounds.
The graduate program incorporates on-the-job experience, coaching, workshops, performance planning and feedback under NEC Australia’s “70:20:10” approach, a framework that supports learning across three dimensions, including the experience, social and formal aspects of business.
It is open to graduates who have completed degrees in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, Software Engineering or another technology related discipline within the last two years.
