If you've been waiting for a Surface Pro to arrive in Australia with built-in 4G capability, the wait is almost over.
Currently only available in an Intel Core i5 configuration with 256GB SSD and 8GB RAM (with other configurations including the i7 model not listing 4G as yet), the pre-order price is A$2199 and the shipping date is April 9, 2018.

The company announced this morning that "Starting today, Surface Pro, now with 4G, is available for consumer pre-order in Australia through the Microsoft Store, Harvey Norman and JB Hi-Fi.
{loadposition alex08}"Customers who pre-order now should expect devices to ship in April. Originally launched through commercial channels in December, Surface Pro with 4G will now be available to anyone seeking the most versatile laptop with fast, secured global connectivity.
"Further product details and pre-order information is available now via the flagship Microsoft Store, Sydney, or the online Store and at Harvey Norman and JB Hi-Fi, with pricing starting from AUD $2,199."
One interesting point to note is that Surface Pro still only comes with a 7th-generation Intel processor, rather than the 8th-generation processors that are now available.
In addition, Surface Pro starts as low as A$1079.10, but that is for a model with a much slower Intel Core m3 processor, only 128GB SSD and 4GB RAM, and while that base configuration will be more than enough for some users, power users will definitely want one of the Core i5 or i7 models.
