SaaS and enterprise mobile security vendor Bitglass has appointed David Shephard as its new vice-president of Sales for Asia Pacific and Japan as part of a move to accelerate global expansion.
The company says Shephard’s appointment will help capitalise on growing demand for cloud and mobile security.
Based in Sydney, Shephard brings extensive experience in cyber security to the job, having spent the past 15 years working with organisations including Tanium, Telstra and RSA, the security division of EMC.
Dean Hickman-Smith, senior vice-president of Worldwide Field Operations at Bitglass, said Shephard would be responsible for building on the early success Bitglass has achieved in the Asia Pacific and Japan region, with a focus on establishing key markets, new channel partner recruitment and enablement and enterprise account development.
