NZ’s Spark expands services for its TaaS portfolio

New Zealand’s largest telco Spark has added contact centre, unified communication, cloud security access brokerage and site connectivity to its Telecommunications as a Service (TaaS) portfolio.

According to the telco, the recent additions have further strengthened its ability to offer government agencies end-to-end TaaS solutions that meet business outcomes and leverage various common capability agreements.

Jolie Hodson, chief executive of Spark Digital, says, “We are particularly excited about the addition of unified communication and contact centre services as it allows government agencies to increase productivity, reduce business expenditure, enable remote working and deliver better services to New Zealanders.

“Unified communication is already deeply ingrained in our core business with a range of customers. The expansion of our TaaS portfolio means our plethora of experience in voice can now be transferred to Government agencies looking for a broad range of common capability offerings.”

And Hodson says that together, Spark and Genesys deliver a “true cloud-based contact centre offering to the TaaS marketplace, enabling small to large eligible agencies to change how they manage their customer interactions that are both cost-effective and scalable”.

Gwilym Funnell, vice-president of Genesys Australia and New Zealand, says: “Through this presence on the TaaS panel, more New Zealand government agencies will have access to leading customer experience technologies featuring low up-front capital requirements, simple deployment, high levels of security and responsive scalability. We are excited to bring world-class customer experience solutions in the cloud to a wider range of public sector organisations.”

Hodson says Spark has an extensive history in delivering quality cloud and ICT solutions and to date is delivering TaaS services to more than 160 government agencies.
