What's on Netflix in February 2018

We're already six days into February, and a whole stack of Netflix content has either dropped, like the stunning, must-watch Altered Carbon, to the surprise release of The Cloverfield Paradox, and more.

It's 2018, and kids of a certain age haven't known a reality that didn't include not only running water, electricity, wired and wireless Internet, but also SVOD - subscription video on demand.

Netflix and its brethren only fail in the paradox of instant gratification not being instant enough, because selected shows and movies don't start streaming in 4K fast enough, but once you get over that, or get a faster connection, or both, legal streaming is pretty darn sweet.

Now, before we get to this month's content, Netflix has also shared some "Netflix tricks for a new you."

{loadposition alex08}Promising to help you keep your new year's resolutions, especially if they revolve around watching "more and better shows and movies", the first tip is about learning a new language.

Netflix advises us that, "this year, become a citizen of the world without leaving your couch, simply by flipping on subtitles for any Netflix title. Alter their font colour and type in Preferences > Account > Subtitle appearance to suit your new outlook, you renaissance (wo)man you".

The company also wants to help couples "Find more 'us' time", and says "you two crazy kids have more in common than you realise. Make a separate 'date night' profile and we'll give you suggestions that miraculously suit both your tastes. We promise it can be done".

Finally, Netflix even promises to help you "get fit", so you get fewer couch potato negatives and more entertainingly fat-burning positives, with the statement that: "Don't have time to work out and watch all seven seasons of 'Offspring' this week? You can do both! Download your favourite shows and taken them with you to the gym. Now you have no excuse... Sorry."

So, with that cinematic rambling with some Netflix tips and tricks out of the way, what televisual light through yonder browser window breaks? Let us take a look and see.
