Audio communications manufacturer, Plantronics, today announced its first Bluetooth neckband headset with earbuds, the Voyager 6200 UC.
Plantronics has long produced a range of premium Bluetooth headsets for professionals and serious consumers in its Voyager range, characterised by active and passive noise cancellation, integration with unified communications (UC) applications, and clear audio via speakers and microphone alike.
Traditionally, the Voyager line has featured single-ear devices like the Voyager 3200 among others, and the ultra-comfortable Voyager 8200 headphones, but with the 6200 UC Plantronics has brought about its first neckband headset with earbuds. It also means Plantronics now offers the widest range of stereo Bluetooth devices with active noise cancellation (ANC) from any vendor.
The device remains a Plantronics Voyager unit, coming with the business-grade audio features expected from the range, including a boomless microphone and stereo Bluetooth audio.
According to Plantronics, the unit fills a void in the market for business users who found the existing headset and headphone offerings too limited.
