Telstra's Tough Max 2 knows that when the going gets tough, the tough get going with the extra durability, water resistance, Blue Tick, wireless charging and more that the Tough Max 2 offers.
My name is Telstra Tough Max 2, smartphone designed for those that need extra durability, true friend of tradies, construction works, miners, farmers, outdoor adventure enthusiasts and even everyday consumers.
Son of the original Tough Max, loyal servant of its impending new owners. I will have my vengeance against accidental damage of all kinds, in this life and the next, by preventing it from happening in the first place.
Ok, ok, so perhaps Maximus Decimus Meridius and his adventures were hundreds or even thousands of years before smartphones were invented, which actually might have helped ol' Maximus to get through to his loyal legions and defeat the evil Emperor Commodus Aurelius, but here in 2018, we can rustle up some examples and happily crow that things truly are different.
{loadposition alex08}What we have now is Telstra's second-generation Tough Max product, the Tough Max 2, and via its upgrades, it has definitely seen a promotion in skills and capabilities.
It is equipped with Gorilla Glass for screen protection, it has an IP67 Rating making it water and dust resistant, and thus fresh water resistant up to 1m for up to 30 mins), and of course, a rubber casing to help protect against bumps and knocks.
On top of that is the essential Blue Tick rating, ensuring better 4GX range and reception in rural and regional areas, while an RF port, which is for use with compatible external antennas that are sold separately), can ensure your Blue Tick has even more ticker to connect to "Australia’s largest mobile network."
David Hunt, Head of Post-Paid Mobiles Consumer at Telstra, said, “Approximately 70% of damage issues reported to the Telstra Tech Bars in 2017 were a result of drops or bumps.
“We know that phone durability and breakages are a pain-point, not only for tradies but for many smartphone users, so Telstra has worked together with ZTE to produce the Telstra Tough Max 2 and hopefully provide a solution for those customers looking for a hard wearing phone.”
