Victoria’s Moonee Valley Council has started deployment of cloud-based process management software from Promapp to serve as a central resource for overall business process mapping and improvement.
Promapp, a business improvement and process management vendor, says the deployment will help the council’s IT help desk department to support the organisation’s 1100 staff by providing consistent processes for their everyday process requirements.
Robert Raiskums, chief information officer at City of Moonee Valley Council, said the council had recently undergone a restructure with a corresponding change in roles and responsibilities.
“We identified an opportunity for a solution such as Promapp to provide support to our 26 people in the IT department which would enable them to work on higher value projects by providing standard processes and forms, based on roles and responsibilities to support basic everyday IT user requirements.”

“Promapp is an enterprise application so everyone can automatically see when a process has been updated. This is critical when you have council staff, such as our parks, depot and,“ Raiskums said.
Moonee Valley City Council will also have access to Promapp’s Local Government Shared Process Library, allowing the organisation to share its knowledge and experience with other councils.
