Windows Phone: going, going, almost gone, latest Kantar figures show

Mobiles running Windows Phone will soon disappear from the market if the sales figures from the latest Kantar Worldanel ComTech are any indication.

The latest figures show that Microsoft's remaining presence in the mobile market is slowly falling to zero, with just one region covered by the report showing any increase.

The Kantar report covered the sales figures for the three months ending October. iTWire's Alex Zaharov-Reutt has a report here on the main trends in the report.

In the US, Windows Phone sales share fell below 1%, going down from 1.2% in the three months ending October 2016 to 0.5% in the current three-month period.

{loadposition sam08}The falls were as follows: Germany (1.1%), the UK (2.1%), France (3.9%), Australia (2.6%), Italy (2.6%), Japan (0.1%), and Spain (0.3%).

The only increase in sales share was seen in China where there was an increase of 0.1%.
