Boldly promising its "new mobile plans provide best value in market" with "big data for little dollars," value MVNO pioneer Amaysim is upping the ante by upping the data.
The great MVNO price and value war has raged to new heights ever since Amaysim started back in 2010 and launched its pre-paid $40 per 30 days for unlimited voice and text in Australia, and 4GB of data.
This was in an age before free calls and texts included to selected countries, before data allocations started getting bigger, and plans which still included unlimited talk and text in Australia getting ever more affordable, with today's plans in late 2017 a dramatic and vast improvement on what Amaysim started with less than a decade ago.
With the new mobile plans, Amaysim starts with the Unlimited 1GB plan, which gives you unlimited talk and text in Australia for 28 days and still includes 1GB of data for just $10, which is the lowest price I've ever seen from anyone anywhere for a perfect, low-data use, entry-level plan, with data use able to use actively extended via Wi-Fi hotspots.
{loadposition alex08}The next plan is Unlimited 2.5GB, which is $20 for 28 days with 2.5GB and unlimited Australian talk and text.
The Unlimited 5GB plan for $30 delivers 5GB data over 28 days with not just Australian talk and text, but unlimited international standard calls to ten countries.
Unlimited 15GB is the fourth plan at $40 for 15GB over 28 days and the same text and talk inclusions as the previous plan, but now also including 300 minutes international standard calls to 22 countries.
The last plan is Unlimited 20GB, which for $50 over 28 days with a whopping 20GB data, and the same talk and text inclusions as the $40 plan.
On the new $40 and $50 plans, this represents a 5GB and 6GB boost respectively, with no change to the cost.
There are also new mobile data-only plans too, which offer 2GB for $15 at the entry level end, and go through to 100GB for $70.
According to Amaysim’s Commercial Director of Mobile, Maik Retzlaff, the increase to these high-end data inclusions embraces the evolving behaviours of Australian mobile consumers.
“Once again, we offer best value mobile plans to meet the needs of more Aussie’s; 15GB for $40 and 20GB for $50 – both including unlimited talk and text to standard domestic numbers and 10 selected countries and also featuring no lock-in contracts – are perfect for customers with an insatiable appetite for data.

As noted above, Amaysim has also just refreshed its suite of mobile data-only plans, which includes a new 100GB plan.
