Cloud-based office productivity and messaging platform Slack has appointed computer science and mechatronic engineer specialist, Arturo Arrarte, as Head of Growth for the Asia Pacific region.
Arrarte previously headed up growth teams at Salesforce, KPMG and IBM and is based at Slack’s Melbourne headquarters to drive expansion locally and improve performance across the Asia Pacific region.
“Slack is fundamentally changing the way we work. We’re very fortunate that much of our growth in Australia has happened organically and that growth has been driven entirely by the positive impact Slack has on the teams,” Arrarte said.
“We’re now really looking to take it that next step further and make Slack an essential tool for teams of all sizes, including the enterprise, acrossallindustries.
{loadposition peter}“This year has been a momentous year for Slack. We surpassed 6 million Daily Active Users and 9 million Weekly Active Users — and 55% of those are outside of the United States. We signed major ecosystem partnerships and strategic alliances with Google, SAP, Salesforce and Oracle, launched our Enterprise Grid product for teams of 500 or more, and we have started to improve our customers’ experience with advancements in search, learning and intelligence.
“Most recently we launched Shared Channels and introduced Slack in French, German, Spanish and Japanese. It’s exciting to see what the team has achieved.”
