Job seekers feel that there are plenty of available jobs in the IT market, with 47% of them indicating that they are likely to actively look for a new role, according to the latest workforce survey from Clicks IT Recruitment.
According to Clicks, 58% of respondents are feeling positive about their ability to secure a job, which the recruitment company suggests is possibly a direct correlation to the number feeling positive about their employment prospects.
The 2017 Q4 survey by Clicks also reveals that 34% of respondents who would consider an opportunity increased from 31% – with the passive job seeker market increasing.
And according to Clicks, positive sentiment in the Australian economy has reached an all-time high of 37% since it started the Index in Q1 2015.

“The number of respondents feeling positive about current Australian economic conditions has reached the highest since we commenced this Index in Q1 2015.
“There’s been an increase in the number of people who are open to an opportunity if approached, further strengthening the importance of employers ensuring they demonstrate their appreciation of staff and remaining competitive in the market in order to retain their skilled workforce.”
