Microsoft Xbox fans are now able to order what is dubbed “the world’s most powerful console”, with “40% more power” than competitors, 4K and plenty more.
If you’ve been patiently waiting for the Xbox One X to go on sale, then your wait was over, yesterday in fact, but the wait for it to arrive continues, with the actual launch taking place on 7 November, 2017.
It’s clearly the season for fast, faster and fastest, with Apple joining Microsoft’s speed party with its own world first, with iPhone 8 dubbed “the world’s fastest smartphone," with that title bestowed by Tom’s Guide and Daring Fireball saying benchmarks are putting it “more than 4 times as fast in a legitimate real-world CPU-intensive tasks”,
Indeed, Microsoft told the world back on 12 June this year that it was launching “the world’s most powerful console”, running AMD processors too, which have made their own mark with stunning speed results, too.
{loadposition alex08}The Microsoft Store Sydney is even holding a special Xbox One X one-day event, on 24 September, which you can read about here, for a special pre-launch sneak peek.
So, the pre-order rush has already begun, starting at 9am yesterday (Thursday 21 September, 2017) from Microsoft’s own Store in Pitt St Mall, as well as EB Games, JB Hi Fi, Big W, Target, Harvey Norman and The Gamesmen.
The console will start from A$649, and with its 40% more power “than any other console”, will play your existing library better, and will play all games better than any other Xbox before it.
Your existing library will see “better textures, smoother framerates and faster load times, even on a 1080p TV.”
But if you have a 4K TV, then players experience an even more immersive true 4K gaming, especially if you have a flagship 4K TV display like the Samsung’s flagship QLED TV, or other flagships like those from LG, Sony and others.
Microsoft tells us that Xbox One X also promises “the ultimate 4K entertainment package with 4K Ultra HD for Blu-ray X and streamed content, HDR support for gaming and video, and Dolby Atmos support,” thus making it an alternative to Apple’s new Apple TV 4K, although both devices are aimed at different parts of the market.
As you’d expect, Xbox One X “will join the Xbox One family of devices and coexist alongside Xbox One and Xbox One S, and all Xbox One games and accessories are compatible.”
So, if you’re an Xbox fan and have been waiting for the latest in 4K Xbox gaming, your wait (and load times) are nearly over!
