Security vendor Tenable has appointed Bede Hackney as country manager for Australia and New Zealand.

"His skillset and experience of working in both growth companies and large multinationals will be invaluable as we drive our revenue growth and focus on positioning Tenable as the industry's first cyber exposure company to manage, measure and reduce cyber exposure across today's evolving modern attack surface, a complex mix of ever-changing connected devices, services and computing platforms."
Hackney joins Tenable from Nimble Storage (which was acquired by HPE earlier this year), where he was ANZ managing director.
{loadposition stephen08}He previously served as director of product sales at VMware, and held senior roles at Citrix including as ANZ director of product sales.
Earlier in his 25-year IT career Hackney was ANZ country manager at Packeteer, a senior network consultant at NetStar, and a network engineer at Charles Sturt University.
He also sits on the board of software company Opmantek.
