Optus/Singtel secure ANZ Bank multi-year contract extension

Optus and parent company Singtel have inked a multi-year deal extending a major telecommunication and managed services agreement with the ANZ bank until 2020.

The strategic partnership between Optus and the ANZ was first established in 2009 with a five year ICT services deal announced in 2013.

The contract extension announced on Thursday includes domestic and international data network services, mobility, collaboration, contact centre services and managed services to support ANZ’s operations.

John Paitaridis, Optus Business Managing Director says the contract extension with their ANZ is a “significant milestone” for Singtel and Optus, and the strategic partnership with the bank “continues to go from strength to strength”.

“Optus Business is focused on delivering leading ICT managed services to Australian enterprises and government organisations, and this multi-year contract extension with ANZ is testament to our capability, innovation and demonstrated track record.”

Shayne Elliott, ANZ chief executive officer, said: “The services provided by Singtel have played an important role as we use technology to make it easier for our customers to do their banking with us and provide innovative ways for our staff to collaborate.”

Chua Sock Koong, Singtel Group Chief Executive Officer said the company would continue to leverage the group’s “scale, expertise and innovation to support ANZ’s business objectives in years to come”.
