New Zealand company Vector Energy Solutions has announced that it will offer additional energy storage options for residential, industrial and commercial customers, beginning with battery storage products from LG Chem.
Brian Ryan, the company's group general manager of development, said offering additional options was a response to growing demand across Australasia.
“Bringing LG Chem products on board is another step in our plan to give our customers more choice and control over their energy use," Ryan said.
"Having back-up power when needed, and being able to use renewable energy like solar when the sun isn’t shining, is giving people flexibility in how they power their lives."

Ryan said details about the new products would be released later this year.
Vector has, in the past, worked with the US company Tesla to provide powerpacks to salt manufacturer Dominion Salt which is located at the top of New Zealand's South Island.
