As is always the case when a hotly anticipated new smartphone arrives, the battle for the best deal is on to capture the hearts, minds and wallets of Note8 customers.
With pre-sales (AKA pre-orders) for the highly-anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note8 about to begin in Australia, Amaysim is the first cab off the rank with a special deal.
Offering what it calls a “complimentary phone plan of up to 14GB for six renewals with the pre-sale of all Note8 purchases”, Amaysim boldly states that “this is one of the most competitive deals in the market for those looking to get their hands on the new device without the hassle of committing to a lock-in contract".
We are told that “the free plan adds up to $300 of additional value for customers".
{loadposition alex08}Now, we do have Vodafone as the second cab off the rank this morning offering trade-in deals and interest-free options, which you can read about here, but Amaysim does note that while “other telcos reveal a range of lock-in contract plans for securing the handset, Amaysim has flipped that on its head, enabling savvy consumers to sidestep the hidden costs that usually go with getting their hands on a new phone as quickly as possible".
The company claims its customers “also have the freedom to choose between purchasing the device outright (for RRP $1499) or avoid forking out a lump sum to purchase the Note8 by joining an amaysim payment plan of $69/month over 24 months or $129/month over 12 months".
The aptly titled Darren Bell — we’ll have to inquire as to his connection to Alexander Graham — is Amaysim’s commercial director of devices, and he unsurprisingly noted that “the new Samsung Galaxy Note8 is a fantastic phone for anyone who wants a stylish, powerful and sophisticated flagship device".
Bell tolled for thee and thy custom, stating: “We know today’s consumers want to have full flexibility and stay in control of the money they spend – the days of locking themselves into a 24-month contract just to get the latest handset are gone.
“Amaysim’s offer puts customers back in the driver’s seat, ensuring they get fantastic value and an exceptional experience. Combined with no lock-in contracts, we’re confident our customers will stay because they want to, not because they have to.”
As was foreshadowed by Samsung, there is a special gift for those who pre-order.
Amaysim states “all Samsung Galaxy Note8 purchases through amaysim also include a free wireless charger, valued at $119, and a complimentary screen replacement if required, valued at $400".
“Pre-sales start on 26 August and will run until 21 September.”
