VMware has appointed Mathew Chamley as its ANZ director of systems engineering.
"Matt's experience leading a number of large corporations through their own digital transformation enables us to better work with our customers to drive results. We are thrilled to welcome Matt to our team," said vice-president and managing director Alister Dias.
Chamley joined VMware from PwC, where he was head of IT services for Australia.
He previously worked at Woolworths as head of infrastructure, at Cochlear as director of IT infrastructure services, at Webfirm as regional general manager, and at Be.interactive in several positions culminating in CIO.
{loadposition stephen08}Earlier in his career, he was IT operations manager at Australian Kitchen Industries, technology integration manager at Vodafone, and served in the Army, reaching the rank of captain.
Chamley attended the Royal Military College Duntroon, and the Macquarie Graduate School of Management.
