D-Link ANZ launched its newest mydlink-enabled WiFi camera today. Known as the DCS-2530L, it lets you monitor an entire room in full HD with a single, affordable, easy-to-use camera.
Many competing cameras offer at most 130-degree lens, but the new DCS-2530L delivers a full 180-degree field of view.
This means users can monitor an entire room in 1080p video quality with reduced blind spots. To remove distortion and ensure the picture still looks good, the camera includes de-warping technology to transform the "fish eye" view into a more viewable video stream.
The camera can be viewed live using the free mydlink lite app for Windows, smartphones and tablets, and can also alert on motion and sound detection. Additionally, it includes a microSD card slot, allowing local recording. Recording can be based on events such as motion, schedules or continuous recording.

Graeme Reardon, managing director, D-Link ANZ, says, "Users of the new DCS-2530L can enjoy monitoring their home in Full High Definition video with the widest viewing angle available at a full 180 degrees, so not only can you see and monitor more of your home with a single camera, you can receive alerts via your mobile phone wherever you are in the world, and see what's going on via the free mydlink lite app."
The DCS-2530L is available from www.dlink.com.au and authorised retailers and resellers for $299.95.
