Enterprise mobile messaging specialist Soprano Design has appointed Darc Rasmussen as its CEO, effective 1 September 2017.

On behalf of the Board, I want to thank [outgoing CEO] Horden Wiltshire for his leadership and commitment during his tenure where Soprano has expanded its international operations, product portfolio and mobile network operator channel. Horden led significant change positioning Soprano as a leader in its field. I am grateful for his contribution over the last five and a half years," said Soprano chairman Richard Favero.
"We are confident that Mr Rasmussen will advance an already globally recognised Communication as a Service offering that enables SMS, MMS, email, voice, and IP communications for many of the world's leading enterprise and government customers. Mr Rasmussen will look to accelerate Soprano's recent success in new growth categories, including programmable APIs, secure encrypted enterprise communications, and business continuity management."

His previous positions include COO at TrustedCloud (formerly IntraPower), senior vice-president of CRM at SAP, and Asia Pacific vice-president and managing director at SoftBrands (now Infor).
