Lenovo has moved Brendan Lau to a newly created position as PC & smart devices (PCSD) consumer & SMB director for the Australian and New Zealand markets.
Lenovo says the new role was conceived to align with the company’s recent structural changes announced globally at the beginning of Q1 FY17-18.
Matt Codrington, Managing Director of Lenovo, ANZ, says Lau will look after all aspects of Lenovo’s Retail and SMB channel strategy to help drive retailer and business partner growth.
Codrington says Lau’s focus will cover end-consumers from the workplace to the home ensuring that Lenovo continues to take an innovative and customer centric approach to its offerings.

“It only seems fitting that we harness this expertise and knowledge to this broader role.”
“Lenovo’s commitment to the channel is unparalleled in the ANZ market and as we continue to strengthen Lenovo’s channel engagement and customer centric approach to innovation we believe this new role will further support our business partners’ growth.”
“I am excited about the opportunity to work collaboratively with our channel community to strengthen our existing business partnerships and plan together to enable future growth,” Lau said.
Prior to joining Lenovo in 2014 to launch the company’s consumer division, Lau was consumer business manager at Hewlett Packard Australia.
