Victoria's Minister for Small Business, Innovation and Trade took advantage of an invitation to speak at the Fujitsu World Tour's Melbourne leg to encourage the company to relocate to Melbourne.
"I know your head office is in Sydney - I can help you with that," Victorian Minister for Small Business, Innovation and Trade Philip Dalidakis told Fujitsu's Oceania CEO Mike Foster.
Dalidakis had just told the audience that in the last two years many tech companies - including Slack, Square, Zendesk and GoPro had set up regional headquarters in Melbourne.
In addition to Victoria's other advantages, he pointed to the fact that it has a larger pipeline of potential technical staff than any other state or territory.

The Government understands that R&D has to be focussed on real-world outcomes, he said.
