Zerto opens new support centre in Shanghai

Disaster recovery software provider Zerto has opened a new support centre in Shanghai to provide services to its Asia-Pacific and Japan customers.

The company said more than 5000 customers were using its Zerto Virtual Replication Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery platform while more than 1700 partners were offering services using the platform.

Zerto chief executive and founder Ziv Kedem said: “The increasing number of customers in APJ and around the world is placing a higher demand on our support services.

“The establishment of the Shanghai support centre will take our service capabilities to a new level.”

The Shanghai centre will provide support in English, Mandarin, Korean, and Japanese. The three support offices will work on a rotation basis to make sure global customers can contact Zerto engineers all the time.

The company said its move to open the new centre came on the back of research from the China Industry Information Network, the country's cloud disaster recovery market would be worth US$1 billion by 2022.

Research by Markets and Markets expects the cloud disaster recovery market to reach US$12 billion globally by 2020-21.

“Enterprises across the APJ region need to keep their business and cloud IT running 24/7, which requires a high level of reliability and absolutely no down-time,” said Andrew Martin, Zerto's director APJ.

“The new Shanghai support centre addresses the needs of our customers with more customised services such as local language support.”
