Acer’s Predator is not only the world’s fastest laptop but it sports the world’s first 21” curved screen too – is this overkill or should all competitors just go home?
This is a killer laptop for those that bring a full desktop computer and monitor to e-sports games. It is built for hardcore gamers – with 21”, 2560 x 1080 curved screen; eye tracking; four speakers, two subwoofers (Dolby Audio and TrueHarmony 4.2); dual NVIDIA 1080 SLI 16GB GPU; Intel’s Core i7-7820HK overclockable processor; 64GB RAM; and two PCIe NVMe Raid 0 SSDs and two SATA drives – it even comes with a Pelican road case. This is the stuff electronic dreams are made of.
Designed for serious gamers, the Predator 21 X (GX21-71) is the world’s first gaming laptop to offer a curved 21”, 2000R (radius) 21:9 ratio, IPS display (2560 x 1080 resolution with NVIDIA G-SYNC 120Hz refresh rate) and delivers a truly immersive gaming experience, especially when combined with the Tobii eye-tracking technology. Taking PC gaming immersion to a whole new level, eye tracking lets gamers identify enemies, aim, and take cover simply by looking at objects.
Gaba Cheng, Head of Products at Acer, said, “The Australian debut of the Predator 21 X is something we know all gamers and gaming enthusiasts have been eagerly waiting for. From its 21” curved screen to the powerful 7th Generation Intel Core i7-7820HK processor, the Predator 21 X has completely redefined gaming and gaming devices.”

Cheng is right – this, at least for now - has redefined laptop gaming. Nothing else comes remotely close. It is as if they have sat down with gamers, developed the “must have” checklist and worked out how to fit it in a laptop.
