Games on Messenger boost content
There are now a surprising amount of ways to fill in dead time you may have.  Whether it is on the commute, standing in line for a coffee, or simply couch-potatoing the opportunity to play game-slices on the go is multitude.  One you may not have explored, and this week is getting additional content is gaming on the Facebook Messenger app.

You can play instantly – just by sending yourself a message through Messenger ! – and then selecting Games.

Here you can choose from classics such as Space Invaders, Snake, Arkanoid and Pacman as well as traditional classics with a variety of Mahjong, Sudoku, Words With Friends and so on.

It is a little disappointing only one "life" is available for favourites such as Arkanoid.

There are also more modern offerings such as Cut The Rope 2, tower defense and match-three style games.

{loadposition mike08}Facebook has announced better tools for games developers, upping the level of sophistication and complexity of the games on offer within the Messenger platform.

This will include leaderboards and potentially tournaments for groups of “friends”.

As the team at Messenger say “People will begin to see new features as game developers start to incorporate the new capabilities with one of Instant Games on Messenger’s biggest hits, Blackstorm’s EverWing, being among the first to use Game bots. Depending on what device you use and where you are located, there are now up to 50 games titles available on Messenger, with more being introduced almost every week. We’re also excited to be bringing the world’s #1 pool game — Miniclip’s 8 Ball Pool — to Instant Games very soon..”
